Once a neglected manufacturing district, the art district of Wynwood is now one of the most popular neighborhoods in Miami.  Surrounded by Edgewater and Midtown to the east and Overtown to the south, Wynwood is home to over 70 galleries, art collections, museums and the largest concentration of street art in the country.  Trendy boutique shops, businesses, craft breweries, gourmet restaurants and stylish bars fill old warehouse spaces that have been revamped with larger-than-life masterpieces from artists around the world. Additional revitalization of this neighborhood includes the construction of a number of high-density mixed-use developments bringing more commercial space and residential units. Because of its history as a commercial district, homes are mostly condos and lofts built within the past 15 years.
